William Tillman Cannady, FAIA
William Cannady is a professional architect who offers design services to individuals, families, architectural firms, businesses and institutions. These services can be as simple as advice on buying a lot to build a new house or buying an existing house in order to renovate or make additions. Projects can be as complex as his latest project that is a large mixed-use mid-rise complex on Houston’s Main Street.
Will’s fifty years of experience as a registered architect span every type, scale and scope of project. His recent experience utilized a small team of his own employees, teaming up with a small architecture firm and with one of the world’s largest architecture firms. In these arrangements Cannady is the design architect and the partnering firm is the executive architect.
In his architectural practice, Cannady has designed and built over two hundred projects. His firm’s work has been honored with sixty design awards and has been published in local, state, national and international periodicals and journals. Cannady was elected to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects in 1983 for his significant contributions to the profession in the areas of education and design.
Current projects in Will’s private practice include a mixed-use transit-oriented development in Mid-Town on Main Street Houston that includes 365 apartment units, 50,000 sf of retail space, and a 750-car garage, and a single-family house in Carmel California.
